Best Harley Exhausts for 2009

We will take a look at the hottest Harley exhaust pipes in the 2009 lineup. Join along in the journey and feel free to argue with us in the comments section below.

The criteria to win this award is simple...it's the one we like the best....the benefit of running this website.

Shotgun Style Pipes

straightshotsVance and Hines Straightshots are certainly not groundbreaking or revolutionary as they have been around for years but that should tell you something.  Vance and Hines has nearly perfected these traditional "shotgun" style pipes and quite frankly they don't change much because they were, are and will be awesome for years to come.  Classic styling combined with Vance and Hines Fat Pipe look and superb quality make the Vance & Hines Straightshots one of the top picks for 2009.  Fads come and go but shotgun style pipes will NEVER be out of style.   Find out more about the  Vance and Hines Straightshots here.

Harley Davidson Exhaust Trends

Trends are funny, what is popular today is gone tomorrow and this can mean trouble for manufacturers who step too far outside the boundaries of "normalcy." I personally am a bit of an old school fan and I like simple, clean and functional stuff that works. The bikes you see on TV or in the magazines are super cool but they are too trendy to become mainstream. Even as popular as Choppers became a few years ago, they were still a TINY fraction of the number of motorcycles sold around the country.

The overwhelming majority of motorcycles sold are the softails, touring bikes and cruisers that are owned by normal guys...not Jesse James. We just want a good looking bike that sounds good, looks good and that will hold it's value over the years. This is the type of rider that most manufacturers build Harley Exhausts for, not the one off customs or the hand built "production" bikes.

So you can see by my picks that you won't go wrong with classic styling and a proven design. If you want to step out then by all means, that's the beauty of the internet, but I would rather go with old school charm that I know looks good and won't be a passing fad.

I hope you enjoyed our selections and if you have any thoughts, of course, feel free to share them.
