Best Exhaust for Road King?
Diezel asked: I have a Road King that I want to build into a bit of a sleeper. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a Harley but I want a Harley that has some get up and go and that sounds awesome doing it. What exhaust will give me the most power gains of all of the Harley exhaust pipes available? I want a deep sound at idle and I am ok if it has some bark at WOT, I just don't want it to be obnoxiously loud. Any advice on pipe choices? Should I go with a 2 into 1 exhaust pipe or a true dual setup from Rinehart? Which will do both,...

Robert asked: My Harley Davidson starts and idles great, but as soon as I give it any throttle to speak of it will spew fire and pop from the exhaust. It does have aftermarket mufflers on it now but I am not sure what they are exactly as I cannot find any markings on them. Whatever they are, they don't sound the way I want it to sound. All of the bikes that I have heard so far that I like, are 2 into 2 style rather than dual exhaust.....are these types of exhaust systems louder than a dual exhaust type setup or am I...

Jake asked: I have a 2004 Harley FXST softail standard with a carburated engine, Vance and Hines Straightshots HS that were installed on the motorcycle by Harley Davidson. I really want to put a set of unbaffled Samson Big Guns on it as I love the sound so much better than the Vance and Hines pipes. What I want to know is if you can tell me what, if anything, that I should do special to it before I do this. I have had a bunch of my buddies tell me not to do it and warning me about things like back pressure, reversion cones, torque...

Rocky asked: I have a 2001 HD Road King that I am very fond of but I would like more power out of it. A few of my friends have said that a 2 into 1 type pipe setup is the ticket for more power but I've never heard that before. What are the Pros and Cons? Does it increase torque and horse power?? Experienced replies encouraged....please no magazine...
