Given the average Harley Davidson's riders penchant for fashionable riding accessories that are of a very high quality, it is no surprise that HD as released a line of stylish and high-quality optics to help protect your vision while riding. H-D enlisted the services of optician Carl Zeiss (of high quality optic camera lens fame) to help them develop a patented Enhanced Vision System (EVS). EVS is claimed to provide up to a 20% wider field of vision and greater clarity on the outer edges of the lenses in comparison to standard sunglasses. Peripheral vision is an absolute must for a motorcycle rider.

These goggles are very versatile and offer you a few unique features not found in many sunglasses of this type. The padded mid-frame easily pops out when you're not riding, turning these "goggles" into an attractive and stylish pair of sunglasses. The design is sleek and features oblong smoked lenses that are what I would describe as mid size. They aren't too wide and aren't too narrow, but rather are just right. The frame is lightweight and feature matte black arms and a small embossed Bar and Shield logo with H-D initialed in silver on each side. In a nutshell, these are a good looking pair of goggles/glasses.
When converting to goggles, you simply pop the padded mid-frame in behind the hinges for the arms and you have a stylish and functional pair of goggles that seal flush against your eye sockets and work nicely against the wind. At speed, wind begins to seep under the seal ever so slightly but if you adjust the leash just a bit, then you can make this barely noticeable.
You will also be pleased to find that the Profiles include a second set of clear lenses to allow you some versatility day or night. The lenses easily pop out with just a bit of pressure from your thumbs and replacing them only takes a few seconds. Simple and easy, just the way I like it.
The styling is subtle and attractive and isn't overdone, and I also like the fact that they serve dual duty as goggles and glasses because carrying both is a pain in the rear. I found the clarity of the lenses to be very good and my vision was crystal clear. I also really liked the lightweight and subtle styling of the Profiles. They look great, work great and are sure to please the discriminating Harley Davidson rider. I would definitely give these Harley Davidson Profile glasses a very good recommendation.
