Harley Power Commander Review

Harley Davidson Power Commander Review Dynojet is one of the oldest names in this industry and has been helping Harley owners keep their bikes in tune for years. As a pioneer in the fuel control industry they were originally famous for their jet kits and carburetor parts. It is no suprise that when Harley's turned to Fuel Injection as a fuel supply option that DynoJet would be right there for them still.

The DynoJet PowerCommander is an add on fuel/timing control module that will allow you to tailor your Harley Davidson's fuel supply to the needs of the engine. This is especially critical starting with the 07 models as they were set pretty lean right from the factory in order to meet emissions standards. This resulted in a very hot running bike and if you added pipes it made the situation dangerously worse.

The PowerCommander is a simple appearing unit that plugs into your existing ECM and allows you make adjustments to the fuel curve either via a computer or using the dials on the module itself. You don't need to make any permanent cuts or modifications to your ECM and once you remove the Power Commander your bike reverts to stock.

The Dynojet website is packed to the gills with maps for your application that will get you very close to the right tune and then you can tweak it from there. To completely optimize your setup I would advise that you invest in some dyno time at a Dynojet approved tuning center.

I installed one of these on my FXSTB back when I first got the bike and it was easy. At first glance you think NO WAY will this fit but it does. You have to remove the seat and the battery and the PCM mounts on the front of your rear fender in a small cavity under your battery. It's tight but it fits cleanly and neatly and can easily be installed by someone with average mechanical ability.
