Greg asked: I have a new Sportster and I really want to change the pipes on it. I am sick of people asking me if it's running or not. I have always had sport bikes and I ran Vance and Hines exhaust pipes on those but are they and good for Harley Davidsons? The model I think would look best on a Sportster is the Vance and Hines ShortShots...they look badass and I like that they come in black.

Greg..congrats on the bike. I used to ride Sport bikes too....Gixxers was my flavor of choice back then but I have moved on to the Cruiser world now a days...getting old I guess.

I agree, I think the Vance and Hines Shortshots would make an outstanding choice for your new Sportster and as far as Vance and Hines quality; they are without a doubt one of the finest exhaust systems you can buy. Outstanding fit and finish and I love the way they sound.

There are a number of high quality exhaust manufacturers on the market but I would put Vance and Hines in the top two or three Harley pipes out there. Keep in mind that you will need a Fuel Pak on that new Sporty as the fuel injection is a little different than rejetting a carb but it's a simple plug and play deal. Easy stuff and nobody should be intimidated by Harley Davidson Fuel Injection...it's a simple system.
